Be on the Lookout:

- White Folders come home today. Please review materials with our child.
- Included in white folders today is a Student Snapshot. These were shared virtually in conferences, but have been updated to include all assessment data. These are yours to keep. WOW, these kids have really grown and I am SO SO proud. It’s awesome to see how far they have come, and I hope you are able to celebrate big and even goal set fo the end of the year tonight. word-snapshot
- A note on the envelope and paper in your child’s folder:
  
  As we approach the end-of-grade testing period, we’d love your help in encouraging our students! Please take a moment to write a short motivational message to your child on the card provided in the white envelope. Your words of support and positivity can make a big difference in helping them feel confident and calm. Whether it’s a reminder of how proud you are, a favorite quote, or just a few uplifting words—your message will mean the world to them! Thank you for your continued support! Please keep these secret/quiet and include your child’s name in the message!

We started a new read aloud this week- Matilda by Roald Dahl. The kids are loving the brainiac girl with difficult parents. Perhaps you know this book or author?

This week in Math:

We are finishing our last remaining unit of our math curriculum with some more measurement concepts. Students will learn about US Customary measurement of length (in, ft, yd, mile), capacity (cup, pint, quart, gallon), and weight (oz, lb, ton). To assist parents in helping their kids I have included a guide. I know I had to refresh myself on some of these, so hopefully this makes things easier!
