By In News & Updates On May 14, 2019

Be on the Lookout for…

  • Students will need to make corrections on their mock EOG math and reading tests. You will receive their results at your student led conference this week. Please help your child make corrections and encourage them to use their strategies!
  • Student-led parent-teacher conferences will be held THIS week. Students will spend time reflecting on their work from the whole year, goal setting for EOG’s and 4th grade, and sharing some of their favorite pieces. Please plan for at least 1 parent to attend, free of siblings if possible so the focus can remain on your 3rd grader. Here is the link with appointment times. Please let me know ASAP if you are unable to make it.
  • Students are being asked to bring a blanket or towel to use for outdoor reading as we attempt to build our reading stamina and soak up the sun this month. Please send one in to keep at school asap! word- stamina
  • Help, help!! Shortly after testing we plan to enjoy a week of carefree, no stress, fun events for the students but I need your help. Please visit this link to see what events we have on tap and how you can donate time or materials to make it a huge success!!
  • The reading EOG for 3rd graders is May 29th. The math EOG is May 30th. It is incredibly important that your child is here on time and well-rested for these exams. The school will provide a free breakfast to all testers on those days!

This week in Literacy:

Students are heading into our last major unit of our reading for this year. Students will revisit the concept of government through 3 texts related to the subject. We will also spend a good deal of our reading and writing time beginning to review for the big ole test at the end of this month! I don’t want to overload anyone with copies and tasks, so Please email me to request any additional test materials you’d like to work on from home.
