Be on the Lookout…
- There are no Tuesday folders today.
- 2nd quarter report cards come home THIS Friday, February 3rd. There will also be a LOT of data coming home regarding recent testing. word-halfwaythrough3rdgrade
- Our field trip will be 3/17 to the Life and Science Museum in Durham. Please return any field trip forms and submit payments ASAP. Checks can be sent, or you may find the OSP online payments easiest (I do!). If you are interested in being a chaperone, please let me know FIRST. Then, please contact the office via phone or email Maria Stio mstio@wcpss.net to ensure you are a registered volunteer with WCPSS. This must be renewed each year. One additional note, I need to know the exact name the PARENT uses to register (Ex. HR cannot search for “Kate” if she registered as “Katherine”). A different name other than what I provide to HR will result in parent showing as “Not Approved”.
- Timed multiplication quizzes are underway!! Your child will have an icecream sundae sheet in their agenda to keep track of their successes with these 90 second timed quizzes. There are 16 questions on each quiz and students pass with a 15/16 or better. If they do NOT pass, there will be a makeup opportunity each Friday during arrival. All quizzes will come home the day they are taken and will be located inside the plastic X sundae page. Please do what you can to help prepare your child for these fun and important assessments! QUIZZES WILL BE EVERY Tuesday and Thursday. Your child chooses which fact to quiz themselves on until they complete all!
- The MYSTERY READER signup has been updated to include 2023 dates! Want to surprise your child and read to our class? Click this link to pick a day!
