Be on the Lookout for…
- White folders will come home today. Please review school flyers and work samples and return the empty white folder FRIDAY (no school tomorrow- Happy Rosh Hashanah!)
- Upcoming teacher workdays are Thur, October 3rd and Mon, October 14th. There is no school for students on those days.
- TODAY was individual student picture day. Look for those proofs next week!

This week in Literacy:
We are continuing our reading about overcoming learning challenges from around the world. This week we explore My Librarian is a Camel to see a nonfiction text about actual traveling libraries that enrich lives of children around the world.
Thank you for ensuring your child reads at LEAST 10 minutes a day at home. You can write their minutes at the bottom of agendas next to the day of the week.
Let’s plan to meet up on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27th at the AMC movie theatre to see The Wild Robot! Times TBD but afternoon for sure. This is optional, and siblings, etc are welcome. If anyone has a relationship with the movie theatre or wants to keep an eye out for times that day when they are released please let me know!
This week in Math:
This week students will finish our reading and representing data through a variety of surveys and graphs. We will also begin Unit 3 which focuses on addition and subtraction strategies. Please utilize the cheat sheets in your child’s agenda for support at home! word- data table
This quarter in Social Studies:
We will wrap up our government unit this week with a cookie election! Next week begins science.
