- Today was our field trip, thank you volunteers! Chaperones, thank you for your time! Please send me pics I can share with the class.
- Today is also the last day of 3rd quarter. Report Cards will come home Fri, 4/19.
- Tuesday Folders come home today with info about Picture Day, Spirit Night and more! Please view carefully.
- Tomorrow, Wed 4/10 is a Teacher Workday so there is NO school for students.
- This Thurs 4/11 is Field Day. More info on our schedule to come next week!
- This Fri 4/12 our class will do a Taste Of North Carolina in conjunction with our economics unit in social studies. We will feature several NC entrepreneurs whose businesses grew to some of the largest in the country! To make this event a success, I need your help. Please click here if you are willing to donate any items.
- Mark your calendars! On April 23rd, Oakview will host the Spring Fling which features the 3rd grade Food Truck Rodeo! If you have not already, please fill out this RSVP form ASAP! word-foodtrucks
This week in Literacy:
Students wrap up Module 3 this week and get to share their Neverland plays with the class. We will do a lot of fluency practice then kick off a new reading unit next week!
This week in Math:
Students are reviewing all 3rd quarter (and some 2nd quarter) math standards to get us ready for our math checkin next week.
This week in Social Studies:
3.E.1 Understand how economic decisions and resources affect the local economy.
3.E.1.1 Explain how entrepreneurship develops local communities.
3.E.1.2 Explain how the natural resources of a region impact the production and consumption of goods in local communities.
3.E.1.3 Summarize the role supply and demand plays in local economies.
