Be on the Lookout!
- Tomorrow, April 27th is an asynchronous day for students. A story was posted on dojo with specific assignments for tomorrow and is posted to your child’s Google Classroom.
- 3rd grade EOG’s will be conducted on 2 separate days. Reading will be Mon, May 17. Math will be Tue June 1. Thank you for ensuring your child is present, well-rested and well-fed for those days. Testing will begin promptly at 9:30. word-EOG’s
- Please send your child to school Thursday with a blanket or beach towel that can be used for outdoor reading and hallways reading as we work to build our reading stamina over these next few weeks!
This week in Literacy:
Students will read the historical fiction play “The Dangerous Life of Harriet Hansen” as we look at how character actions define them and change the course of the story. Stories in this unit connect to social studies topics we have researched this year, Civil Rights and Immigration! We will work on comparing and contrasting key details from our last 3 stories towards the end of the week.
Students will present their Zoos opinion writing today in our sharing/debate. Thank you to all who donated items to make this an even more fun day!
This week in Math:
The last remaining unit of our math curriculum continues this week with some more measurement concepts. Students will learn about US Customary measurement of length (in, ft, yd, mile), capacity (cup, pint, quart, gallon), and weight (oz, lb, ton). To assist parents in helping their kids I have included a guide to these standards in Tuesday folders this week. I know I had to refresh myself on some of these, so hopefully this makes things easier!

3.E.2 Understand entrepreneurship in a market economy.
3.E.2.1 Explain why people become entrepreneurs.
3.E.2.2 Give examples of entrepreneurship in various regions of our state.
