  • Would you like to receive a weekly update as to what your students have checked out from the library? With so much reading going on- classroom libraries, public libraries, and the school library it can be hard to keep track of what’s what! If you’re interested in this email update, please complete this link. Emails will come out on Saturday mornings.

This week in Literacy:

Students are taking a break from literature to focus on nonfiction text and text features. This week we are reading “Deep Down”, a nonfiction text about extreme places where groups of people live.

Spelling RETESTS on the “100 Words You Need to Know” continue FRIDAY, January 6th. This quiz is for GROUP FOUR words ONLY! Only students who missed words the first time around need to prepare to retest. If you are not sure, check your child’s agenda for circled words.

Students had a BLAST creating OUT OF THIS WORLD (see what I did there;) planet projects on their selected planet. They worked in a group to research a variety of online sources, then used their knowledge to create their choice project. Students made either a Chatterpix, Tellagami, poster, or a song/rap to share their expertise. Please check out their Google Drive for the newest additions! word- techies
